A Skeptic Cries out…for Help

I’m reaching out to the skeptical community to offer support to one of their own, Stuart Robbins, who seems to have gotten himself way over his head in some very deep “stuff” and is obviously crying out for help.

Stu posted a blog, a seemingly harmless enough venture for a professional astronomer in a field not usually known for creating ongoing public controversy. The problem is that the blog in question (which will doubtless be the lengthiest and most popular he’ll ever post) pertained to Billy Meier, the Swiss UFO contactee, especially in regards to what Meier called the Red Meteor, now officially known as asteroid Apophis. (The illustrated information can be seen here, in six languages; is it “coincidental” that the Russians and Chinese both became proactive about deflecting Apophis…after this was published?)

For those who are moved to come to the aid of a beleaguered and, frankly, overwhelmed colleague, I’ll just say that Stu’s troubles effectively started at the very beginning of the blog where he claimed that Meier had retrodicted his Red Meteor information to fit the discovery and description of Apophis.

In other words, Stu blatantly called him a liar…without producing even one tiny piece of substantiated evidence; only Stu’s conjecture and suspicions because Meier claims his information comes from extraterrestrial sources. This so violates Stu’s own unscientific beliefs and prejudices (that may be redundant since he proudly describes himself as a “skeptic”) that he finds it acceptable to hurl defamatory accusations without substantiating them, kinda like a real scientist would have to…should they engage in such behavior in the first place.

Regarding the accusation that Meier retrodicted the information, I pointed out more than once that taking credit for information that you disagree with – since Meier warns of an almost certain impact with the Earth and NASA completely disagrees – is illogical and absurd, as I’m sure you’ll all agree.

And this reinforces my concern for Stu, since no respectable Ph.D. would knowingly resort to offering such wild speculation, off-the-wall remarks and virtual non sequiturs in response to being challenged to present factual substantiation for their own serious claims. (In comparison with such irrefutable, ironclad specific examples of Meier’s prophetic accuracy as was recently posted, Stu’s vagaries reinforce our concern that his cry for help be heeded.)

It’s additionally troubling that Stu has gone so far off protocol for attacking the Meier case, especially considering how embarrassing it’s been to the professional skeptics that their efforts to “debunk” Meier have resulted in retractions from skeptical stars such as James Randi and Derek Bartholomaus (who’s now apparently so enamored with the Meier information that he’s even naming his own websites after Meier and my website!). And then there’s the thorough drubbing of IIG’s imported hit man, Ike42, as well as the foibles of the likeable Tom Quinn.

For those of you with even an ounce of compassion, can you understand now why I’m calling out for intervention? Do you see what additional harm Stu is doing not only to his own reputation but to those of his esteemed skeptical colleagues as well, if that’s possible, of course?

Obviously, things are getting much worse for Stu and his skeptical associates, who’ve inadvertently found themselves stuck to the proverbial diminutive distillate of coal that the Meier case represents for them. Now that a real scientist (who at first thought that the whole Meier case was utter nonsense) is endorsing Meier’s authenticity, in fact calling Meier’s specific, accurate prediction about the recent Russian troop movements “astonishing” (for numerous reasons), we may see a return to standard skeptical targets such as ghosts and toast (with images of the fantasy figure known as “Jesus”) since the skeptical attempts against the Meier case – over the past dozen years! – are now obviously also…toast.

First the Russians, now the Chinese…When Will NASA Get It?

A Chinese scientist from Tsinghua University, in Beijing, recently announced a plan to divert asteroid Apophis from colliding with the Earth. Apophis is known to people familiar with the Billy Meier information as the Red Meteor.

Meier first published his warnings about the Red Meteor/Apophis in 1981, which we have since posted in illustrated form in six languages.

First, the Russians heeded Meier’s warnings – while not “officially” admitted, his information is known and studied by various international intelligence agencies and even the…Vatican – and it appears that their open invitation to the European Space Agency and the Chinese was actually noticed, at least by the Chinese.

Of course NASA has downplayed the danger from Apophis, which is not entirely surprising considering that their priorities may be more about preserving the status quo, jobs, etc. And considering Billy Meier’s detailed explanation, in as the time fulfills, of just how NASA faked the Apollo 11 mission, perhaps relying on them for the plain truth is expecting too much.

Consistent with those who dwell in deep denial, I reflected on the anti-scientific skeptics, such as Stuart Robbins, who months ago quickly denounced Meier’s information as both retrodiction and  nonsense. In fact, Robbins’ apparently most viewed and contributed to blog reads like a perverse tennis match between the usual bunch of know-it-alls and a few of Meier supporters, including me. (I’m glad to give Robbins this bit of free promotion so that impartial, reasonable people can see the extent to which celebrity-seeking hacks  rush to put self-promotion and their prejudicial views above any real study of such voluminous, demonstrably prophetically accurate scientific information such as Meier’s.)

You may notice that there are a certain number of very confident – and of course completely anonymous - sophists who tried their best to ridicule and dismiss Meier’s information with pseudo scholarly responses – while steadfastly refusing to even acknowledge clear, easy to understand examples of his impeccably accurate scientific information to which I repeatedly linked. Most noticeable among those who have shunned accountability, who have shown no signs of integrity or scientific objectivity, is of course Robbins, who cut out to focus on easy targets who are the purveyors of New Age nonsense, ghosts, etc.

So, as the Russians and Chinese now step up to pay serious attention to the real threat to humanity, those in the U.S. like NASA, and other real and concerned scientists, are missing in action. Of course the professional skeptics are little more than a self-styled grouping of religiously pseudoscientific amateurs who approach highly controversial matters like the Meier case with their small minds already made up and their actual scientific relevance and contribution is nil.

What the heck, humanity’s had no shortage of such types but really, concerning a matter of this gravity, might we not take a lesson from the Russians and Chinese…who apparently have already taken one from Meier?

Based on my own experiences recently in Hong Kong, there is an abundance of very sharp, concerned people there who actually want to know the…truth about the Meier case, something which, I regret to have to say, is low on the list of priorities in this country as a whole, in our scientific community and, especially, in the rather pathetic, so-called “UFO community”, which has done more damage to the truth because of its focus and profit-oriented promotion of non-existent “UFO contactees” and “alien abductions” than one can imagine.

P.S. Soon after this blog came out, the following was posted by Stuart Robbins on his blog..regarding his blocking my posts there:

“It’s perhaps important at this time, several weeks later, to mention that Michael Horn has repeatedly tried to post comments here that I have blocked. Yet he makes no mention of them in the next comment he tries to post, so I’m not sure if he realizes they were blocked.

For those paying attention, The question to Michael is very simple and is all he needs to answer in order for a comment to go through: What is the evidence that the red meteor was linked to Apophis before its discovery? Or, directly answer ANY of Nereid’s posts showing that the material that you claim is positive confirmation of Meier’s predictions is actually not.

Fairly simple.”

Robbins blocked the link and my challenges to have the anonymous poseurs respond to Meier’s clearly prophetically accurate scientific information. Not exactly a…courageous person.

Will Russian Reflection on Meier Suggestion Result in Deflection Protection?

Are the Russians paying attention because they know we don’t?

Let’s acknowledge and consider that the Russians have started making their military moves into the Artic region, including moving their troops to Arkhangelsk, as foretold in the Henoch Prophecies. And maybe some ambitious bureaucrat pointed out to Putin, “Hey, back in 1958, this Swiss guy, Billy Meier,  foretold what we’re doing now. And if I read this correctly, our expansionist plans to dominate Scandinavia, Iran, Turkey and invade the U.S. and Canada just may be very successful. Now of course, your exalted excellency, I don’t put much stock in what soothsayers…”

Putin interrupts, “What else did he say?”

“Well,” says our nervous friend, “there is this matter of the Apophis asteroid hitting the earth in some rather critical areas, between the North Sea and the Black Sea and…”

“And…?”

“Well, there seem to be some very specific warnings here about how to deflect this asteroid so that it doesn’t, so that it doesn’t…ruin our neighborhood, so to speak.”

Of course the skeptics would like to believe that it’s just another “coincidence” (along with hundreds more of Meier’s specific pieces of scientifically important information) that the Russians are reportedly preparing to deflect Apophis from hitting the Earth*. It’s highly suggested that the skeptics, and others who behave like Luddites in regards to anything that has such potentially huge consequences to humanity, continue to amuse themselves by debunking ghosts and the “paranormal” and leave the serious business of survival to far more rational, competent individuals.

Lest they think that Meier’s information also about Russian ambitions doesn’t concern them, this may be true but only if they currently don’t reside somewhere on planet Earth.
