A couple of new items for today.

This new press release on the Billy Meier UFO case:

New Pentagon Report Corroborates Prophetic Information in Recently Released Film

…already made it onto the Yahoo news wire. The PR company also told me that the image of the WCUFO will flash on their Times Square display. I’m a bit far from NYC so my view of Times Square is a bit obscured. Maybe someone will check it out who’s down there.

I did an interview last night with Adam and Garth, a couple of great guys from Australia that you can check out here.

    • Interesting stuff, Jeff.

Been doing a lot of methane research myself. I had been wondering why Meier kept harping on about the huge number of animals and their methane release, because typically one finds numbers suggesting methane from agriculture only amounts to some 18% of global green house gas emissions (which is still higher than transportation, at 11%). http://www.epa.gov/climatechange/ghgemissions/global.html (actually, per this link, the EPA apparently has it at 14% and and 13%, respectively).

But, turns out, the percent of green house emissions from livestock is more like… 51%!!! http://bittman.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/07/11/fao-yields-to-meat-industry-pressure-on-climate-change/?_php=true&_type=blogs&_php=true&_type=blogs&_php=true&_type=blogs&_php=true&_type=blogs&_php=true&_type=blogs&_r=4&

In fact, even that may be modest, because in 2013 methanes “global wamring potential” was found to be even higher than the figure used in the report mentioned in the previous link. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global-warming_potential

Not to mention, the number of cows is only increasing.

Imagine that — we are so focused on cars and what not…but its cows, baby, cows. OVER HALF of anthropogenic climate change can be attributed to livestock. Now I know why Billy and friends make such a fuss over it.

On the bright side, if all goes well, in vitro meat should be available in the next decade or so; whether we will have the political will to make animals-for-food a thing of the past is of course another matter though.

And, on the even brighter bright side, methane only stays in the atmosphere for about 12 year — a much shorter time frame than carbon dioxide. Thus, it makes good sense on multiple levels to focus our attention on the livestock/mehane problem — not only is it the single largest source of green house gases, we theoretically could pull off a quick, drastic undoing of the damage.

As Michael often says, undoubtedly many things are now passed the point of no return; yet, others are still avoidable. Short of reducing human overpopulation, swapping cows for cultured meat appears the next best thing in terms of ‘how to save the world’.

      • New study about monitoring methane from space. Its not just cows and Siberia that is leaking, it is world wide and US is not excluded.
“Four corners: The largest US methane anomaly viewed from space”
“Methane (CH4) is a potent greenhouse gas and ozone precursor. Quantifying methane emissions is critical for projecting and mitigating changes to climate and air quality. Here we present CH4 observations made from space combined with Earth-based remote sensing column measurements. Results indicate the largest anomalous CH4 levels viewable from space over the conterminous U.S. are located at the Four Corners region in the Southwest U.S. Emissions exceeding inventory estimates, totaling 0.59 Tg CH4/yr [0.50–0.67; 2σ], are necessary to bring high-resolution simulations and observations into agreement. This underestimated source approaches 10% of the EPA estimate of total U.S. CH4 emissions from natural gas. The persistence of this CH4 signal from 2003 onward indicates that the source is likely from established gas, coal, and coalbed methane mining and processing. This work demonstrates that space-based observations can identify anomalous CH4 emission source regions and quantify their emissions with the use of a transport model”
You have to sing up for the full report, so i can´t post it here

  • Michael, This was a great interview! If you have the opportunity to do another with Adam and Garth you should! The interview is equally great after your portion / interview concluded as well. These two guys are doing some thinking on their own and have done at least some homework on the Meier case and a LOT else related to to our earth. It does not come across as a CANNED interview as some do. EXCELLENT! Mike B.

  • I really liked your last line about the amazing (in his own mind) Randi. I would like to see the proof that he actually has that amount in a bank account available to the first person who passes his test, like Billy has done. Why isn’t he writing that cheque to Billy? Maybe he already spent it? He simply cannot offer a $1 million challenge without proof of it sitting in a bank account. Isn’t that fraud?
