Making peace with yourself, your family and neighbors is the true path
Tonight’s we will discuss:
- The realities of living in these times, as the prophecies fulfill
- Seeing eye-to-eye may require sitting side-by-side
- Neutralize and deflect, instead of engage and enrage
MoT: 256, point 4:
“All things, circumstances, occurrences, experiences and events of all kinds must constantly be seen and understood as such, whereby a personification relating to oneself must never result. That means that the things, circumstances, occurrences and experiences as well as events, and so forth, must, in and of themselves, in every case, be seen and understood as such, and indeed in such a way that they do not become personally burdening; rather, for the consciousness, they always remain capable of being processed with the thoughts, and impersonal.”

Wow the first line, “Making peace with yourself, your family and neighbors is the true path” blew me away because I have a YouTube channel where I vlog my journey in Mixed Martial Arts and I suddenly felt the need to create/publish a video about how to create world peace that I titled “We Are Terrans”. And the idea I expressed pretty much echoes the first line of this article. Talk about unusual timing. I spent all of two hours making that video which is the fastest I ever made a youtube video.
Please post the recording. Thank you!
Ok, I wasn’t sure if it was appropriate to promote my youtube channel on someone else’s blog, but since you asked, then I hope it’s ok:
If the link doesn’t work, just go to my youtube channel “Gringo Picante” and look for the video titled “We Are Terrans”.
Thanks Paul for speaking up!
Salome,
MH
P.S. While I fully understand your motivation for getting into MMA, I truly suggest looking into Systema (https://www.russianmartialart.com). This is the art I mentioned last night on the video. If you can find a school in your area, or attend one of their seminars, I think you would find a much fuller, more wholesome, and potentially less personally dangerous art.
This is the are that the Russian special forces train in and it has all of the defensive (and aggressive…when necessary) skills and techniques one could want, especially since the MMA training by its rules doesn’t allow certain things that are more essential to real self-defense.
The difference between this art and any other real self-defense trainings is that their approach and philosophy is non-aggression, i.e. to not do more than is necessary to neutralize a threat and to not indulge in inflicting deliberate, unnecessary harm. The foundation of the art, the focus is on the…breath, not the movements, so that one remains relaxed.
It’s a fascinating art and there are plenty of videos online too, things you can work with a partner, also they practice slowly, which helps to stay relaxed while ingraining the movements, etc.
What one practices and how they practice are very important. Truly, while I understand the fascination with the MMA combat, it’s anything but peaceful at its core and practice. The combatants try to do as much damage as possible which isn’t good for one’s psyche, consciousness, etc. – nor for health’s safety, life and limb, when you come down to it.
Good luck and Salome.
awesome, thanks! that attitude you have about martial arts is exactly why BJJ(Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) is one of the three martial arts that I train in. In real life self defense situations I would more likely employ that technique because I can neutralize an enemy combatant without punching or kicking. By design it is a martial art that was invented in Brazil for self defense (not sport) and the techniques revolve around leverage and taking the violence out of the fight.
Royce Gracie, who is a member of the family who invented BJJ completely dominated the UFC in its early days and eventually stopped competing in the UFC because of them adding time limits and because he wanted to stay true to the spirit of BJJ which is self defense and de-escalating violence. He consistently went up against guys 80-100+ pounds heavier than him and still won with his non-violent fighting technique. His family’s BJJ style was so successful that the only reason other people started winning championships in the UFC was because he stopped competing.
Thank you so much for the link! I’m definitely going to explore the martial art you told me about because I’m into MMA for the specific purpose to better myself mentally/physically and to develop the ability to protect people that I love without needing to use a gun or any other weapon.
If there’s no school in my town that’s no big deal because I’m getting ready to immigrate to Mexico in a couple years, so worst case scenario I have a couple years to search for a school that teaches that in Mexico. That might even help me figure out where in Mexico I want to move to because that country is so big and beautiful that it’s hard to decide where to move to. 🙂
Well, thanks to the link you gave me I found two Systema schools in Mexico City, Mexico! 🙂
